GET TO KNOW CLAYTON
I’m Clayton Hamerski.
I grew up here in New Hanover County and spent my youth volunteering for library book sales and attending 4H programs. I am a graduate of our two wonderful schools, Cape Fear Community College and UNCW, where I earned a BA in Political Science and Government with a minor in Public Administration.
After college, I met and married the love of my life, Carter Jewell, and we decided to buy a home here, not far from the family farm where Carter grew up.
We are both heavily involved in the community, and I currently serve on the boards of the Cape Fear Economic Development Council, the MLK Celebration Committee of Southeastern NC, the New Hanover County Cooperative Extension Advisory Council, the Cape Fear Realtors Community Affairs Committee, and the Sons of the American Revolution, Lower Cape Fear Chapter.
In my work as a Realtor, and as a Notary Public, I interact often with the Register of Deeds, and I believe there are many ways we can improve the office for all who use it. I have the leadership experience, skills, and education needed to help bring the office into the 21st century
